Jordan Frailey (M.A.) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, & eating disorders. Jordan has worked in a variety of settings, including a university counseling center, a partial hospitalization treatment center for eating disorders and trauma, and for a non-profit working with low-income, first-generation clients and Victims of Crime (Cal VCB).
Jordan is passionate about the treatment and prevention of eating disorders, and is committed to being anti-diet, body positive, and HAES (Health at Every Size) aligned in her treatment. She worked at a PHP/IOP treatment center for eating disorders as a pre-licensed clinician, spent two years post licensure working under an eating disorder specialist, and receives ongoing weekly consultation from a CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) Supervisor, as well as engaging in peer consultation with a HAES Group of fellow eating disorder clinicians.
As for how she works, Jordan strives to create a warm, safe, non-judgmental space for all clients where they can explore their thoughts and feelings, while working towards creating the lives they desire. She believes therapy works best when it is relational and clients feel safe to be be themselves. Humor, humanity, self-compassion, and a healthy appreciation for the science and art of psychotherapy are all part of her approach as a therapist.
